At his death in 1791, at the young age of 35, Mozart’s Requiem in d minor remained unfinished. It fell to his student, Franz Xaver Sussmayr, to finish the work using whatever he could gather – finished sketches, scraps of paper in Mozart’s handwriting, and his own composing. As we perform this glorious enigmatic work, we show you where Mozart leaves off and Sussmayr begins. Truly amazing!
