Tiffanny Goodman is proud to present stage play, “Speak Up! Speak Out! A Mother’s Cry Against Violence,” on December 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.  The play will be held at the Temple Theatre, 203 N. Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607.  Tickets are $22 and available for purchase at the Temple Theatre’s box office, by phone at 1-877-754-SHOW, or by visiting www.templetheatre.com.

The stage play, “Speak Up! Speak Out! A Mother’s Cry Against Violence, written by Tiffanny Goodman is a cry for justice for the murder of her son, Ste’von Martel Goodman.  Ste’von was a victim of mistaken identity and gunned down in the city of Saginaw on March 12, 2009, two days after his 18th birthday.  Surveillance cameras from a local Kentucky Fried Chicken captured the incident, but to date, detectives have not arrested anyone for the murder.  During police investigation it was determined that the bullet was intended for someone other than Ste’von.  Ste’von was a senior at Arthur Hill High School, a second year business student at Saginaw Career Complex, and an employee at Jet’s Pizza. Ste’von set goals for his life and hoped to join the United States Navy upon graduation.  Sadly, his dreams were stolen by a senseless shooting.  Tiffanny Goodman is certain that someone knows who is responsible for her son’s murder but is afraid to come forth or is bound by the “no-snitch” code that governs the streets.

“Speak Up! Speak Out! A Mother’s Cry Against Violence speaks against bullying, violence, and the “no-snitch code,” as well as showing love and forgiveness. It entails what may have taken place in the lives of the perpetrators leading up to the day that Ste’von was murdered. This play was penned to give hope to mothers and families around the world that’s longing for closure in the murder of a loved one.
